Dressed In Red: A Holiday Party Look

Today’s holiday look was a 15-minute throw together because I totally forgot to purchase/ get an outfit together for a work holiday party – And I call myself a fashion blogger- tisk tisk. I got this Keepsake dress last year at a sample sale in DTLA for like $50 – which is a total steal because their dresses can run into the high $300’s. I love the almost abstract floral print – It looks like they zoomed into the center of a flower to get the print which is pretty unusual and interesting. The red color popped out from my closet and was perfect for the occasion.

The days & nights have started to get chilly in Los Angeles – Opaque tights are perfect to keep out the pre-chill of the fast approaching Winter. These shoes are simply magic and make you feel like a princess when you wear them. They have an almost water-colored like floral print and a beautiful cluster of rhinestones right in front. Best of all, they’re incredibly comfortable  {{ Insert Prayer Hand Emoji}} I was standing most of the night so I am glad they came through for me.

Can we talk about these gloves/cuffs/whatever you want to call them??? I saw them on ASOS and thought they were so cute paired with a leather jacket on the model. I always find myself gravitating towards that edgy/girly combo – I love the contrast and nothing makes a girl fee more like a girl boss then a little edgy. Anyways, I bought them probably like a month ago and have had a hard time finding the right outfit for them – Which makes it funny that I just threw them on with this dress and instantly loved it! This happens to me ALL the time – Sometimes I just overthink a certain piece and can’t find a way to pair it  & then I’ll be rushing to get ready and throw it with something and it just works! Does this happen to anyone else? I loved the gloves/ dress combo paired with and without the coat. They added a cute little peak of a detail hanging out of the coat and made me look like a present with just the dress. I was really happy with the results – especially since I put it together in all of about 15-minutes.

The Venue for the holiday party was The Culver Hotel – This place was a perfect mix of eclectic chic. We were located in the main ballroom which had an upstairs bar & lounge. The lounge was loaded with tons of velvet couches and  brocade chairs, dim lighting and candles, and tons of fresh flowers. There was also a downstairs area where they had the food and a photo booth. I love when an event has a photo booth! We took so many pictures and I loved waking up to them in my purse and having a good laugh. {{I put my FAV below!}} The last area was a patio with longer velvet couches and those amazing patio heaters. A group of us spent the last few hours on those couches chatting and taking in the beautiful Culver City night. There was a movie theater across from the patio and every few hours – when a screening of Star Wars would get out – there would be a light saber battle that would break out. It was so funny! [Especially after some champagne … Who am I kidding?? And a few Tequila shots]

Cute outfit. I love the cuffs! Definitely something I would add to my outfit. Unfortunately I don’t have any holiday parties to dress up for.

These cuffs make any outfit a little more special. Sometimes it’s nice not to have party obligations. You have more time to cuddle up at home 💗
