Hello, Wild Pretty Things!
As a kid, I loved to watch ‘What Not To Wear’ – To this day Stacy London remains a main style icon for me. She was always so chic & effortlessly put together. What I loved the most about her was the powerful way she would mix color, patterns and vibrant textures. No wonder fashion reject, after fashion reject was turned into a stylish members of society. Stacy , along with Clinton Kelly, had a mantra that they would leave each of the fashionably challenged students with, “Color Pattern Texture Shine”. These 4 ingredients are the only things standing between you & your most fabulously dressed self.
After years of weekly style guidance sessions, I am not one to shy away from a large print or some sparkle. I wore this outfit out to a dance club in Silverlake, CA. It was the perfect blend of cute/funky & perf for the occasion. Velvet has been a huge trend for while now and I still can’t get enough. This moto jacket is semi cropped and made with high quality materials that really kept me warm – Which was good because it is getting so cold at night! This dress is super girly without the jacket and would be perfect for work. I love how the jacket really transforms the dress & takes in to another place. The contrast between the crushed velvet + the floral print is really interesting and I love the colors together. These pearl sunglasses are on CRUSH STATUS: Dying! Love the cat eye shape and all those beautiful pearly details.
