Hello, Wild Pretty Things!

Tucked right up next to the L.A. fashion district is the DTLA Flower Market. I had heard rumors of the variety and steals of deals you could get on whole sale flowers, but hadn’t made the time to go visit until now. Now that I have been, I am pretty bummed that I have been WAY over paying for my fresh blooms. They have almost every variety of flower you can imagine and most are $1 or $2 cheaper per bloom then any florist I have visited (I got peonies for $3 a bloom- If you do not know, that is absolutely ridiculous. I have paid up to $6/ peony) If you live in the L.A. get off your booty and go check this out now!

Afterwards, we grabbed brunch at Poppy + Rose. First, that name is SO SO cute! Especially considering that you can people watch flower market shoppers while enjoying your breakfast. The inside had very simple decor, but all the little touches made it a very cozy place to stay and catch-up. The tables had these gorgeous little bouquets in simple vases to brighten up the table. I chose the biscuits & gravy with poached eggs – Guys, I am literally drooling as I type this out. It was incredibly delicious and super filling.

Since I was visiting the flower market guess I decided to dress like a flower. This Free People dress was airy and I love the way the hi-lo cut flowed int and away from my body. It was SUPER flattering and made me fee like just another pretty thing. It is a wrap dress, which is super flattering for almost all body types. While the color of the dress was very fower-esque, for the shoes I went literal. I absolutely adore these Steve Madden flower embroidered heels. They’e so comfy and they were perfect for the situation. I didn’t even complain once while we waked the entire flower market – which is huge BTW.  I included some more photos from the day, including the beautiful bouquet I made from my flower purchases, below!

It’s the BEST place! The smell was intoxicating and there were fresh flowers EVERYWHERE. I’m breaking it off with my florist and always getting flowers here.

Thanks so much! I’ve been thinking I need a change, but I love the red so much. Comments like this make me want to go out and dye it right now.

      Thanks for your sweet comment!
