Hello, Wild Pretty Things!

I was pretty overwhelmed about the cold when planning outfits for our trip to Denver. The weather reports kept showing the temperature dropping lower & lower. As a Cali native, I do not own anything like what I would need for 20 degree weather. I found this coat on SheIn & loved how cozy it looked. I was concerned that it might look really bulky on, but at $33 I couldn’t pass it up. When the package arrived, I couldn’t believe how soft the coat was! Guys, this coat is like a plush blanket that is socially acceptable to wear out into public. The coat itself is super cozy but still lightweight. I really appreciate coats like this when I travel!

I kept the rest of the look very sleek to balance out the over sized coat. These long sleeves by BP are my favorite layering pieces for the cold. They’re made from this super soft material that is so comfy – You will want to always wear them so order a few! I got a gift card to Lululemon for Christmas and found these fleece lined leggings right before the trip. I was so glad to have them because they kept me so warm while we were up in the mountains.

Snowboarding was so so much fun, but I forgot how exhausting it can be. The last time I went snowboarding was when I was  about 12 years old & that was the only other time I had tried. At first, I was so scared ab going down the mountain – I had the worse dream that I totally wiped out & had to be carried off the mountain [How embarrassing & so me!] However, after a few trips down the bunny slope, I was feeling way more confident. I still stayed on the bunny slopes for the rest of the day, but next time I plan to move to the next level hills. We were thinking of planning a trip to Big Bear before Winter was over.

I have more photos from the slopes below!
